Learning is a lifelong adventure and my role is to help children to become confident, strong independent learners, able to identify and address their weaknesses and most of all engage in their learning.
I show pupils how exam papers are structured and how best to answer them, so they can approach their sittings with confidence.

For GCSE and A level Biology students - especially those who are private entry candidates, contact me for solutions relating to the endorsed practicals. I can run many of these practicals in your home.
As well as one to one tutoring, I am developing my own website of self assessment and learning materials at www.onlinesciencetutors.com and I will also consider requests for online tuition.
As a subject master and form tutor I have substantial experience of UCAS statements and happy to help with writing personal statements and mock interviews.

Adrian has not only covered a lot of theory, but also really helped with exam technique/ understanding what the question is asking and relating things back to the specification. There are limited resources for CIE, but he took the time to update his website with questions relevant to my exam board. He explains things in a detailed and interesting way, with an emphasis on understanding why certain biological processes occur instead of just learning them by rote. Lessons are supplemented with packs of exam style questions, both from past papers and questions he has written himself, to ensure the topic has been covered in a range of different contexts, and the strategies he teaches are applicable to a range of different types of questions (e.g.interpreting data, describing trends, and picking apart information in comprehensive style questions) (Student gained A grade and is studying Medicine)
